Meadow Of The Lost And Found: Excerpt 1

She sings and sings with her gentle eyes shut in that obscure wood.
"Does She Not Know Where She Is?" The Creature wonders.
His violet eyes are fixed on her face,
slowly his gaze drips down her body as he develops a hunger for her visibly smooth skin.
The nats hovering around her, feeding on her vivacious aura, and the birds chirping in a serene and unseen manner.
The beast's face grows very unpleasant.
His sheer amethyst eyes glinted with fury and confusion.
Why is she here, he thought.
The wood never saw such radiance in countless decades, not since he arrived...
Lost; without a home,
no one to call his own.
He shared no smiles with anything or anyone,
only morbid and sadistic grins. He must've loved once.
Everyone loves at least once.
His pale skin lost whatever pigment was left.
He sunk into transparency.
"What...is she doing..."
Her golden brown hair, swaying in the soft wind spiraling her body as she spins in bliss.
Her comfort frightens him.
"Is she not scared?"
He thought furiously.
"A place where there's no light and only gloom,
a place where only creeping shadows and dying trees hail."
The chlorophyll in the leaves almost seem absent.
The olive leaves spell terror for any who dare trespass through his home.
The creatures dare not lurk out of their hidden homes in fear of his crimson black hair and silently thunderous speed.
He crawls behind her in stealth.
Her eyes open filled with wonder and joy.
She faces his direction and follows the path up to his hut with her eyes and whispers,
"Love At First Sight."
His color returns and he murmurs upon her,
"Love?"
